Tom's Crispy Avocado Wontons

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Dipping sauce
  2. 1. Combine all ingredients in a small blender & process until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Avocado Wontons
  4. 1. Preheat about ½" vegetable oil in a pan.
  5. 2. Combine diced avocado & lime juice. Toss with vinegar, onion and cilantro.
  6. 3. Working with one at a time, place about 1 tablespoon of filling on each wonton wrapper. Dip your finger in water and
  7. run it along the edges of the wrapper. Fold diagonally and seal shut by pinching the edges.
  8. 4. Test the oil with a small piece of wonton wrapper. When added it should float and bubble.
  9. 5. Once hot enough, add filled wontons a few at a time. Cook about 2 minutes per side or until browned and crispy.
  10. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
